A significant milestone in space exploration is on the horizon! ⤵️
🤝 NASA and Japan are ready to take lunar exploration 🌓 to new heights with a historic agreement. Japan will design a rover to explore the Moon, while NASA will deliver it there and provide opportunities for Japanese astronauts to walk on its surface.
This exciting step also includes the goal of having a Japanese citizen be the first non-American astronaut 🧑🚀 to land on the Moon in a future Artemis mission.
The rover, a pressurized vehicle, will allow astronauts to conduct research 🔭 in geographically diverse areas for longer periods.
It’s the beginning of a new era in space exploration!
